BC Ferries – Autistic children and their attendant(parent) can travel half-price on any of the BC Ferries. Application for the BC Ferries Disabled Status Card may be made by going to the BC Ferries website or phone BC Ferries at 250-381-1401.

Nanaimo Swimming Pools – When a caregiver/parent/attendant accompanies an autistic child at any of the Parks & Recreations pools, the attendant is admitted free of charge. Simply inform the cashier when paying.

Access 2 Entertainment Card – This card allows persons with a disability to receive either free admission or a significant discount for their support person at member movie theatres and attractions across Canada. The Access 2 Entertainment program is administered by Easter Seals.

Child Disability Benefit – The Child Disability Benefit is a tax-free benefit for families who care for a child under age 18 with a severe and prolonged impairment in mental or physical functions. It is delivered by the Canada Revenue Agency. www.servicecanada.gc.ca/eng/goc/cdb.shtml
